Tajikistan

Tajikistan offers up some of the finest natural scenery on the planet, and given the hospitality of the people and low cost (once in country), is a destination not to be missed. Tajikistan offers abundant options for trekkers and mountain bikers, including peaks that soar to heights of over 24,000 ft.

The Aral Sea

The Aral Sea, which lies between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, was once the 4th largest lake in the world; however, now much of the sea has been reclaimed by desert.

Issyk Kul

Issyk Kul, located in Kyrgyzstan, is the second largest high mountain lake in the world, stretching over a 100 miles in length. It ranks among the world's deepest lakes, and is a major tourist destination for Central Asians.
